About Pathways Migration

Pathways Migration is a small firm based in Newcastle, NSW. It is headed by Registered Migration Agent Mirja Colding-Moran (MARN 2217755).

Mirja completed a Graduate Diploma of Migration Law and Practice at UTS in 2021, where she was awarded a place on the Dean’s Merit List as well as multiple Top Student awards. She worked as a Registered Migration Agent in a social service organisation supporting people from refugee backgrounds and other vulnerable migrants for several years, until eventually starting her own private practice.

As a former migrant herself, and with extensive experience working with particularly vulnerable clients, Mirja takes a calm, caring and supportive approach. She understands how overwhelming and stressful migration issues can be and takes the time to make sure that you feel informed, confident and supported every step of the way.

Mirja is fully registered with OMARA and a member of the Migration Institute of Australia. She is also a NSW Justice of the Peace. In addition to her migration law qualifications, Mirja holds a Bachelor of Social Science/Bachelor of Education with Honours, and a Diploma in International Relations. She is passionate about social justice in general and refugee advocacy in particular. Mirja enjoys travelling, experiencing new cultures and learning new languages. She speaks fluent Swedish, which may be helpful to any Scandinavian clients.
